Ingredients:-
- Onion- 5 medium(,quartered)
- Red chillies- 4
- Tamarind pulp- 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- a pinch
- Oil- 1 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
- Chana dal- 1/2 teaspoon
- Dhuli urad dal- 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt as per taste
Method:-
- Take a mixer jar and add onions, red chillies,tamarind pulp, salt, turmeric powder and grind to a coarse paste.
- Transfer this mixture in a bowl.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds,when they starts spluttering add chana dal,urad dal and saute till they turn light brown in color.
- Add the tempering to the onion mixture and mix well.
- Serve with Dosas, Idli.
